The theme of the 9th SLACA is: "Food Science and Quality of Life: Health, Environment and Sustainability ", to be held on November 05th-8th 2011, organized by the School of Food Engineering (FEA/UNICAMP) and the Latin American Association of Food Science (SLACA).
The expansion of the food area, in terms of health, industry and economy, increasingly demands the dissemination of recent advances in Food Science, so that professional, researchers, undergraduate and graduate students, regulatory and public entities can Interact to offer the Brazilian society answers to the countless challenges the food area presents.
Although Brazil is nationally and internationally renowned as a food producer, scientific and technological knowledge is needed to allow the Brazilian society to truly get the best of foods and their nutritional and functional properties that guarantee health.
Since the start, SLACA has been contributing to knowledge dissemination and integration of different national and international scientific group, serving as a link among the academy, industries and the public sector.
We invite everyone to participate and hope to see you here in Campinas in November this year.
Warm regards.
